Trying to make it as a writer is tough.

It feels like it’s all long hours, minimum pay/reward, tons of rejection, frustration and heartache.

At times you doubt yourself. Question your own abilities. Wonder if you really have the skills it takes to succeed and that maybe you’d be better off pursuing a different path— I do this almost every day.

There will be days when you’re ready to throw in the towel, give up and put the whole experience down to a failed attempt at success.

But no matter how hopeless it all may seem and no matter how many setbacks you have to endure, you’ve got to keep on going.

You’ve got to keep filling those blank pages with words. Keep sharing your thoughts, ideas and experiences with the world. Keep writing as much as you can, turning up every day and keep telling yourself you can do it.

It may not happen this week, month or even year but eventually, over time and with enough persistence you will progress. You will reach your goals and move on to greater things.

They say anything worth doing isn’t easy and anything easy isn’t worth doing. So, keep that in mind as you make incremental steps forward with each word that you write.

Thanks for reading.
