A Quick Piece to Get Back on Track
It’s easy to get sidetracked. Especially over the holidays.
This Easter weekend was a prime example of that for myself.
Maybe you can also relate?
I had such good intentions of making the most of the few days off we have here in New Zealand.
Plans to spend quality time with the family, write as much as possible and put some decent effort into growing my Medium profile.
Spoiler alert!
None of the above was achieved.
One thing I forgot was how things never go to plan when dealing with family.
The quality time I had wanted to spend with my partner and our kids was non-existent.
A total of zero words did I manage to write.
And as for growing my Medium profile, the less said about that the better.
As frustrating as it was getting nothing done and having to control that burning feeling of anger that we all feel when things just aren’t going to plan, it was kinda nice having a day or two off — after accepting that what I had planned was out the window.
And while it was nice having time to switch off mentally from the world.
