A Quick Shift in Mindset with This One Simple Question

The motivation you need to start your week strong.

Another week has just begun and after two days off from the world, it’s time again to get back after it. But sometimes that’s easier said than done.

For most of us, motivation levels are a tad on the low side at the beginning of the week and it can take a minute — sometimes even a day — to get back into the swing of things.

Whether you’re in full-time employment or even chasing your own goals, getting yourself in the right frame of mind on a Monday can prove a little challenging.

You may spend the first half of the day stuck in a daydream, procrastinating like a pro and counting the minutes until lunch break. Where you will disappear for a while, content in your own company and enjoying the silence — aah.

Then it’s back to it.

Spending the second half of the day trying to look ‘busy’, avoiding conversation and eye contact from your peers while contemplating what to have for dinner and what new shows there are on Netflix.

And while in this frame of mind you’re more than likely not thinking of your next move on the journey towards your goals. Sure, you can always get back on track again tomorrow, right?
