Are You Feeling the Pressures of Writing?

Sometimes you’ve just got to write.

Sometimes writing can really stress you out, agree?

Sat with your feet up on the couch, staring into the deep, dark — eerie — depths of your mind. Legs boiling from the heat of your laptop, lukewarm cup of coffee much the opposite. All you want to do is write a good piece for your readers,— the little following that you do have — something to fill three minutes of their time, perhaps even provide them with half a smile.

I am not a writer.

I don’t feel like a writer.

So why am I stressing out so much over a piece of writing?

Sometimes you just have to write.

Forget about everything else and just write what’s on your mind.

Write that story you’ve been contemplating for weeks now. That idea you have for an article, which you know will resonate with so many people, just get started.

Forget about all the big words, forget about trying to sound fancy, intelligent or inventive and just write in your own voice.

Who cares about formatting.

You can figure that out later.
