Embrace Boredom
Setting goals, putting in the work, and becoming a major success all sounds like fun. The romantic thought of adventure as you grind your way to the top.
However, in reality, chasing your dreams can be pretty boring at times.
Hours spent putting together a plan of attack, completing the admin required to get started, coming up with ideas on how to market yourself and only for it all to fall flat, receive zero response or build momentum at a snail's pace.
Boring and frustrating to say the least.
So what do you do?
You try to speed up the process. You try to take shortcuts. Experiment with new schemes or ideas on how to achieve success faster. You jump on trends. Flirt between the latest ‘revolutionary’ advice given from ‘experts in the know’. Only for nothing to catch on and for you to end up back at square one after gaining zero traction. What a waste of time.
Embrace the boredom.
Embrace the process.
Embrace all those tedious days and nights putting in the work to create momentum the correct way and move forward in a manner that lasts and isn’t just a quick fix.
When you do that, then at least you know you have built a solid foundation to work with, and from there, you can expand further as you hit each of the milestones you set.
Success isn’t found in the thrill of the moment — it’s built in the monotony of showing up when no one else will.
