They say the journey is better than the destination. And while this may not be true for everything — after all the best part of your vacation is rarely the travelling— it can be argued that it is the case for a lot of other things. Especially when it comes to achieving your goals.
Sure it’s always nice to reach your target. To have that feeling of accomplishment. But don’t you think the excitement and thrill of overcoming challenges to make it there far outweighs the feeling of achievement?
Experimenting with new ideas, getting that rush when they work out and propel you forward to the next level and two steps closer to your dreams.
Or the emotional rollercoaster ride of being faced with a dilemma. Being on the verge of giving up, throwing the towel in, convinced that there is no way you can go any further. Then boom! That is what life is all about. Having all those emotions running through your veins. Doesn’t it just make you feel alive!?
Of course, at the time it can feel pretty depressing on your mission to ‘success’. When it feels like you really are going nowhere, spinning your wheels and wasting your time.
It’s only when you look back at how far you have come and the obstacles you have conquered that…
