Forget about what other people are doing and focus on yourself instead
It’s easy to get caught up in the dramas of other peoples’ lives.
Sure, it feels good to help someone in need — if they want the help of course — and sometimes that means you find yourself amongst it. But a lot of the time people get involved in things that just don’t concern them.
We see it online every day.
Social justice warriors patrolling the platforms looking for opportunities to stick their nose in and voice their unwelcomed, unasked for opinions just to show the world how ‘empathetic’, ‘compassionate’, ‘caring’ and ‘woke’ they are to the needs of all mankind.
You may have also seen something similar closer to home. Within your own social circle for example.
Friends getting involved in other friends’ relationship dramas or trying to sort out their family issues when really, it’s got nothing to do with them at all.
Sometimes it’s best to forget about what other people are doing and focus on yourself instead.
Yes, it may sound a bit selfish but sometimes you’ve got to get your own house in order first before you start trying to sort out or interfere in the lives of others.
And that’s just the way it is.
