Your heart is thumping, trying to escape through your chest. Boom Boom. Boom Boom. Boom Boom.

Your lungs are burning, gasping for breath. Huff. Huff. Huff.

Every ounce of your being is telling you to stop. But you don’t. You keep pushing on.

You control the body, not the other way around.

There really is nothing like a good, hard workout.

To some, this may sound horrific. Almost torturous. Why would you wish to feel such distress?

For those of us that love to push our bodies and minds to the limit then keep going, this is pure bliss.

Let me explain

Something strange happens when you ignore the bodies signals to stop.

When you push past the discomfort caused by lactic acid build up in your muscles and decide to just keep on going.

It becomes almost spiritual. Your mind goes to a different place.

For me, this feeling comes when I am working the heavy bag at boxing and also when on long distance runs.
