I don’t think we will ever be able to pinpoint exactly where are readers are from — unless Medium introduces a detailed tracking system.

For me it was more a case of trail and error.

Most of the engagement happens whilst I’m asleep. When I wake up in the morning that’s when I have the most notifications — follows, claps, comments etc.

So with that in mind I decided to check out the time difference between New Zealand and the rest of the world to determine who is most likely to be online between the time I went to sleep and wake up then scheduled a post around those times.

Not a very scientific approach and not very well explained on my part but it’s something lol.

As I said, it’s all a case of trail and error and taking note of the feedback recieved on each piece you publish.
