How Changing Your Mindset Can Increase Your Productivity
Beep! Beep! Beep! the dreaded sound of an alarm clock pierces your ears, waking you from your slumber; “Is it that time already? Feels like I only just closed my eyes five-minutes ago.”
You hit the snooze button and treat yourself to another ten-minutes.
Boom! Boom! Boom! bedlam erupts on the landing; the house trembles and it feels as though the Hulk has come to visit.
Your bedroom door is kicked open, “Have Task Unit Bruiser entered the building!?”
Nope, it’s just your overactive, highly energetic — equally terrifying — three-year-old son coming in to ensure you don’t oversleep — as if that would ever happen.
Dragging your head from the pillow, forcing yourself into the upright seated position, you stare into the abyss for a few minutes, half-listening as the little one goes into overdrive telling you about last night's dreams and his plans for the day.
“Right, time to get up,” and with that, you flop out of bed, plod on over to the bathroom and prepare for the week ahead.
