How often do you mix things up, try something new and explore other areas of writing?

For me, experimenting is the best way to keep my writing motivation fresh and it’s something I like to do as often as possible.

For example;

Last month I decided not to submit any of my articles to publications and also not to promote or share them on social media to see if it had any effect on my views and earnings. It didn’t.

In the past, I’ve also dabbled in various genres of writing; poetry, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, flash fiction. And sometimes I like to switch up my writing prose. Play around with formatting styles and explore topics I know nothing about. Just to see what I can learn.

For the most part, I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing. But that doesn’t stop me and I give it a go anyway. You never know what you might stumble upon when you put yourself out there and try something new.

This month my plan is to focus on quantity. Writing as much as I can, not overthinking my pieces too much and not holding back on hitting the publish button. I wanna see how the next few weeks work compares to last…
