I know what you mean.

My happiest workdays were when I was working demolition in Sydney.

Smashing shit up with sledgehammers and jackhammers, finishing the day sweaty, filthy, sore but satisfied, then heading off to the pub with the rest of the team for a few beers before heading home to prepare to do it all over again tomorrow.

Those were great days and money was far from the main focal point at the time.
