I know what you mean, there are alot of badly written pieces that get through the editing process and published on some publications on here.

I think it comes down to the fact that alot of 'editors' on here aren't actually real editors at all, they just people who want the title, and publications let them have it because they need people to help with high numbers of submissions.

However, it looks like publications may be on their way out here on Medium (or at least less relevant) in the near future so who knows, we may begin to see less badly written pieces slipping through the net as publications hope to hold on for dear life and not get closed down.

Only time will tell.
