The reason I never watch the news is because it's never good news. It's always scare mongering or worst case scenarios, never optimistic and as you mentioned, I've never not heard about any of the most important stuff.

I remember the days when the news was on only at specific times in the day and there was always a feel good story at the end. Nowadays it's just 24/7 chaos beamed into your mind. We all better off without it.
