I Too Have Landed Myself in Curation Prison

Now the only question is, what to do next?

I’ve been reading more and more stories lately about people who have been finding themselves locked up, in curation jail.

Perhaps it’s like that thing when you buy a new car and then for weeks to follow it feels as though every man and his dog has also bought that exact same motor vehicle.

But seriously, it seems as though everywhere I look I see that more and more people have found themselves in curation prison.

And it begs the question, “What should you do next?”

I’ve known for perhaps maybe a year that my pieces have been going pretty much unnoticed by the curation team.

At the beginning of my Medium journey — which, incidentally, was also the when I decided to pursue writing as a hobby, potential side hustle and maybe one day a career — I managed to have a few of my pieces curated.

Which came as quite a shock to me as before that the last time I’d written anything, besides text messages and emails, was when I was at school.

Though, this did happen way back in August 2018, a time when things were a lot simpler here on this platform.
