I too lost close to 1000 but if they are all spam/dead accounts then I'm glad.

It seems having 1000s of followers on Medium is becoming less important at the minute with the recent spate of bonuses being handed out based soley on writing and engagment, not how many people follow your account.

I think this is a good thing for the platform and I'm excited to see what else they have planned for the near future.
