I too suffer from lazy-itis (or as I call it lazy-bastardness) and I use similar methods to get myself through it.
I have one which is comparable to the 2min rule only I'm a little more vulgar in application - it mostly involves me doing some self-talk and telling myself not to be a lazy fuck and just get to work now. As you mentioned, once you get started then you usually find you keep going.
I also don't beat myself up when I have a lazy day. I accept it and get back on track ASAP. As long as it doesn't drag out more than a day or two at the most, then it's ok.
Beating the procrastination bug is an ongoing battle but one I'm dedicated to winning.
