I treated myself to a gap week last week and it felt pretty damn good.

I chilled out, didn't create a to-do list, didn't check stats on Medium or my blog and just did what I felt like - which was mostly chill out watching T.V after my 9-5 and playing playstation, just like the good old days before I set myself any real goals.

However, a strange thing happened midway through my gap week; I got a writing gig/offer through Fiverr without even trying, which is strange becuase my profile on there is mediocre at best, I put little effort in to setting it up - tidying it up was on my to-do list.

I accepted the offer to create the article and the client was happy with it - he even gave me a tip on top of payment and offered me another gig.

Now that I've returned from my gap week my thinking has changed and I'm contemplating a shift in my approach towards chasing goals.

Instead of creating fancy to-do lists and pushing to check everything off the list each day, I'm thinking of taking a more 'go with the flow' attitude and seeing which direction the world takes me.

Will try it for a few weeks at least, what's the worst that could happen? If it doesn't work in my favour I can always go back to old ways.

Good luck with your gap week, I hope you have a good one and come out of it feeling as fresh and revigorated as I did.

Don't forget to share your experiences with us next week 😁.
