If your husband is suggesting you get a 'real job' due to financial struggles or difficulties than that's fair enough. But if it is simply because he doesn't understand the nuts & bolts of what it is you do - which is what it sounds like - then tell him not to be concerned, everything is a-ok 🤣.

Not everyone understands the trails and tribulations that come with trying to make it as a writer but when you eventually make it and he sees the results of your hard work and persistence, he is going to be proud that you never gave in to his suggestions.
