I’m Delighted to be Writing on Medium Again
It’s Tuesday the 19th of September 2023. Sitting in the kitchen of his Western Sydney home, elbows perched uncomfortably on the cold hard marble island benchtop and staring deep into the middle distance is a writer. Me.
In front, sat on the benchtop, my Macbook Pro laptop. On the screen, my latest Medium piece.
My fingers hover over the mouse pad button like an army helicopter about to deploy its troops into battle.
But before dropping a nuke on that submit button and sending my creation off into the Medium blog-iverse to complete its mission, I stop to think;
‘Do I still have the same passion for writing anymore?’
Click. Send. Sigh.
And with that, my Medium writing flame fizzled out like a smouldering match that’s been dropped on a saturated bar top. Fzzzzz.
It Came as No Surprise
Looking back it came as no surprise that my passion for writing was about to die back then.
It was only a matter of time.
For months prior to that ‘kitchen occasion’ my writing consistency was, well, non-existent.
