In my opinion, points 4 & 5 that you make are the best ways to deal with the upcoming changes to the platform.

It’s hard to make a call on the perfect way to prepare for what’s to come, so paying attention and be willing to adapt is your best bet to ensure you evolve with the platform instead of fighting against it.

I see the new modifications as a positive thing and a chance for everyone to take their writing to the next level.
