Is Becoming a Friend of Medium Worth It?

Because I’m thinking of upgrading.

After spending some time away from Medium and taking a break from writing in general, I made my return to discover a new addition to the membership program.

Become a Friend of Medium

It’s something I’ve noticed over the weeks of being back but I never really took much notice of it.

I was too busy reading and getting myself back on track with writing.

But now that I’m somewhat back in the flow of things again becoming a friend of Medium is something that’s sparked my interest, the only thing is, I don’t really know much about it.

Which is why, I thought there’s no better way to find out about a Medium feature than to ask those who use it — cleaver thinking, I know.

Are You a Friend of Medium?

So, in a bid to educate myself or rather, be educated, I ask, are you a friend of Medium? And if so, what makes it all worthwhile for you?

I see that when you become a friend of Medium it helps out fellow writers when you read their work by giving them a little bit extra if they are part of the partnership program — which sounds good to me.

But I am curious, besides helping out other passionate writers are there any other perks that you enjoy about being a friend of Medium?
