As a child, school was never my most favourite place to be — I mean, what child truly loved being at school? — it wasn’t that I had a terrible time, I enjoyed hanging out with my mates, getting up to mischief, playing sports and the likes, the only thing was, that classes got in the way.
Yea, that was the biggest downside to my school days.
As a teen, I never had much of an interest in learning — I was obviously ‘too cool for school’ — and as a result, some of the teachers and I didn’t exactly see eye to eye.
They tried to teach, I wanted to have fun. They gave me homework I conveniently forgot it each day — truth be told, I never done it, but you already guessed that didn’t you? — they insisted that education was important, I wasn’t convinced — though my views on that have changed somewhat, but not completely, now that I’m no longer an arrogant teenager.
No, my attention span in the classroom was as the equivalent of a teenager with a maths book — zero. I had no interest in learning and I’m pretty sure my teachers would have been happier with me out of their class.
However, there was one topic that always did fascinate me and that actually piqued my interest. Physics. Not all of the physics mind…
