It’s Not as Easy as I Thought It Would Be
The ‘Adventure'
For those of you who follow me and my progress here on Medium, you may have noticed I haven’t been as active over the past week or so as I usually am.
The reason being that my family and I have been preparing for and partaking in our own little ‘mini-adventure’.
“What is this adventure that you speak of, Ryan?” I hear — well, imagine — you ask.
We have made our way, halfway around the world, from New Zealand to the U.K and Ireland to visit our next of kin.
The preparation began two weekends ago.
It involved shopping for the essentials, packing for the weeks ahead and tieing up all loose ends until we get back.
Busy, busy, busy.
Then, the travel itself took roughly around thirty-six hours, from the time we left our home in New Zealand until we arrived at our first destination.
It’s a long and testing journey, both mentally and physically, especially with two kids — more on that in days to come.
But we made it — yay!
