When was the last time you let your hair down and allowed yourself to be childlike again?
To run like nobody was watching. To sing like there was nobody listening. And let loose unfazed by the opinions of others.
Inspired by a toddler
My son recently turned two and there hasn’t been a day gone by since his birth that he hasn’t inspired me.
But not inspired as you might imagine.
You’ve probably heard most parents claim that their kids are their ‘inspiration’.
They work harder, faster, smarter in order to provide a happy life for their little bundle of joy.
And while this does apply to me, it’s all a little cliché, right?
I mean, of course, we all want to provide for our loved ones.
The real inspiration comes from the carefree manner which most kids possess.
To me, that is priceless.
How they shout at the top of their voice at the least appropriate times.
Say the most embarrassing things in front of strangers.
Do what they want without a care for who is watching. They are little barbarians, to say the least.
