Medium Owes You
I’ve been hearing a lot of negative feedback lately in the various Medium groups and also from articles published here.
(Which, by the way, is really bringing down positive energy that this platform gives off.)
The main theme is that of frustration.
Dissatisfaction at the service being provided by the Medium team.
From ‘writers’, who bust their butts creating articles. Short stories. Poems etc.
Who spend their time and energy searching for that perfect word.
Lose hours of sleep in order to publish to their profile every single day.
Putting together an ‘impeccable’ piece only for it to been seen by but a few sorry eyes.
A piece that warrants so much more than the 36 claps it has received.
I feel your pain.
For I am also one such writer.
The disappointment washes over me too, on a daily basis.
Spending hours, even days on a piece, certain that it will be curated.
Only for it to be kicked to the kerb the instant it has been published.
I feel your pain, I do.
