Men are born soft and supple; dead they are stiff and hard. Plants are born tender and pliant; dead, they are brittle and dry. Thus, whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life. The hard and stiff will be broken. The soft and supple will prevail.

Lao Tzu

In life, you’ve got to learn to adapt.
Be open to change and roll with the punches.

Sure, there are times when going against the grain is good.
But others, where failure to adjust, leaves you rigid.
Setup for defeat. Subject to snap.

Choose your battles wisely.
Know when to compromise and when to resist.
Because whoever is stiff and inflexible will be broken.
Whoever is soft and yielding will prevail.

Thanks for reading.
