Remove the Negativity from Your Drafts List

And focus your writing on the positive side of life.

Like many of the other members here on Medium — and I’m sure you’re the same — my drafts list is packed full of writing ideas that have caught my attention as I go about my day-to-day routines.

Things that, at the time, I believe will make a good story or article in which to share with the Medium family at a later date.

When something like that pops up I simply whip out my phone, open the Medium app — which is saved on my home screen, efficiency — and jot down a quick headline describing my thoughts at the time.

Quick tip: When such ideas do come to mind take note of them immediately or risk losing them forever. The number of times I’ve said, “I’ll remember that later” then forgotten it mere seconds after is unbelievable and deeply frustrating.

There are days when nothing gets added to list at all and then others when potential writing ideas are in full flow.

As I’m sure you are well aware, writing a new piece each day is not always that easy.

There are times when words evade you.

Where you can’t get your mind out of first gear.
