Social media has given people a place to act brave. I've seen some comments and conversations online that I know for a fact would never take place if the people involved were standing face to face, because someone would be getting punched in the face.

I don't understand why some people feel the need to lash out at things they don't agree with (and usually with weak, Ill-advised arguments).

If you don't like someone's opinion, don't read their fucking content. If you're annoyed that much online, turn that shit off. But trolling and tormenting people online just ain't on.
