I am currently experiencing a lack of creative drive at the moment. It’s a stint that’s been ongoing since Christmas and it’s something I need to rectify ASAP — for the sake of my own sanity.

I’ve tried to force myself back on track, experimented in various ways to drag my lazy ass out of this procrastination slump, but so far, all attempts have been unsuccessful.

Anytime I decide to write a new piece my inner voice chimes in with an excuse as to why I’d be best to just hold off for the meantime or it finds a way to convince me that I could make better use of my time by doing sweet f*ck all instead — my internal voice is quite the salesman.

However, finally, I think I’ve come up with a solution. A way to break free and hopefully get the ball rolling again.

Small incremental steps.

Instead of trying to sit down and write a 500-1000 word article each time with research and purpose, that’s been well thought-out and devised. I plan on writing and posting just a few short paragraphs per day on whatever comes to mind at the time, my thoughts of the day if you will, and that’s it.
