October 11th. The day residents of New South Wales will paint their face’s blue and white, pull on a kilt and roam the streets pissed up yelling “Freedom!” reminiscent of their famous adopted countryman.

Ok, so maybe that’s a bit far-fetched, but nonetheless, as of October 11th aka ‘Freedom Day’ covid restrictions for fully vaccinated adults will be reduced in New South Wales, Australia.

So, what does that mean for the people of Sydney and surrounding regional areas?

Well, it means that fully vaccinated adults (16+) will be able to partake in and enjoy more freedoms such as:

  • Having 10 fully vaccinated visitors to their place of residence.
  • Having gatherings of up to 30 people in outdoor public areas.
  • Going to gyms and attending fitness classes of up to 20 people.
  • Hospitality establishments reopening (Restaurants, hairdressers, pubs, casinos etc.)
  • Various recreation facilities reopening. (Zoos, sports grounds, theme parks etc.)
  • Schools beginning to reopen.
