The Emotions That Come with Writing
There are some days when writing just pisses you off. You think you’re making good progress then something dampens your spirits — like waking up to find you have lost your top writer status for example.
There are times when you just wanna say, “f*ck it!” And give up.
Then, there are the frustrations that come from spending a lot of time and energy creating a new piece, something you are quite proud of, only for it to be a flop, receiving little to no attention from readers.
The phrase, “What’s the point?” almost becomes your writing catchphrase.
But then, out of nowhere, you get a much-needed boost in confidence.
For me, it came after being tagged in This post.
It may not seem it at times but people do read your work.
It may be only one or two sets of eyes skimming your words at the start but keep going.
Sooner or later your following will grow.
Your writing will start to be read by more and more people.
And before you know it you’ll be well on track to smashing all the goals you have set yourself.
Keep on moving forward!
