The Frustration of an Empty Mind
This is my fourth attempt at writing this weekend. Yes, writer’s block has been the theme of the past few days for me and it’s been pretty damn frustrating, to say the least.
It’s not that I didn’t want to write, it’s just that each time I attempted to create a new piece the words just would not flow.
Even as I write this piece now it’s a struggle. But I’ll persevere.
You see I, much like every other writer on this planet, have faced writer’s block on numerous occasions — and that’s putting it lightly.
And yes, I’m aware that there are some people who don’t believe in writer's block but for it’s very much a real thing.
When I sit down to create a new piece, I already have the ideas plotted out in my head, sometimes even written down, and I know roughly what I wanna talk about.
Then I get to it.
Allowing my fingers to tap, tap, tap away on the keyboard as they put into words my thoughts and opinions on whichever topic I have decided to speak about.
Sounds pretty simple, right?
But on the days when writer's block rears its unwelcome mug, things don’t play out like that.
