This will be the third piece I’ve worked on today.

You might be thinking, “Wow, that’s pretty impressive. How do you do it?”

Well before you start getting too dazzled let me continue.

This will be the third piece I’ve worked on today but the only one I’ve finished — if all goes to plan that is.

You see, unfortunately, the other two pieces had to be cut short halfway through.

Why?

Because the feeling wasn’t there when I was creating them.

You know that feeling you get?

When you’re in the flow. You know exactly what you want to say and how you want to say it.

Well, that was missing.

Both pieces started out fine. The title and subheading were sorted.

Even the first paragraph wasn’t too bad.

But as I continued to spill my thoughts on to the screen it soon became apparent that it just wasn’t going to work.

Not today.

What I thought was a good idea for an article turned out to be more of a leaflet.

It soon began to feel very forced and I didn’t like. Not one bit.

I had run out of ideas. More research and thought were required to continue.
