There are a lot of great writers here on Medium who aren't getting the attention they deserve.

I feel the reason for this is because they aren't writing for the audience/readership here - as you mentioned.

Your writing could be the best in the world but if it is of no appeal to the readers then it's not going to do well.

Adapt to the platform you're writing on, it's the best way to attract more readers.
