My number one piece of advice for someone starting out on here would be to focus on growing a following and to just have fun with your writing.

Too many people join the platform with the sole purpose of making big $$ and when it doesn’t happen as quickly as they had imagined they hate on Medium and give up.

Patience and learning to grow on the platform is the key to an overall positive experience, at least that’s what I think.
