When I’m faced with a case of writers block I like to open a blank page, usually on Medium, and just write exactly what I’m thinking.
This could be similar to your tip of writing an email to someone.
Usually when I do this I’m talking to myself, or to the writers block.
Anyway, what this does is it gets me writing.
I don’t have to publish the piece, so it can be as good or as bad as I want. The main thing is the words are on the page.
I find that just by writing something, anything that it helps kickstart the flow again and I can then move on to something that I can publish at a later date.
Also. replying to and leaving comments on Medium can help get thigns going again — that idea just came to me there now 😂.
