When I first started writing on Medium it was a lovely place to be.

The people were friendly, supportive and great to interact with.

Nowadays, however, there seems to be less of the kindness and more of a rise in aggression within the comments section of various creators content.

Instead of inciting a healthy debate over a topic you may not agree with people are now more inclined to bark their point of view towards individuals, be close-minded to additional trains of thought and feel attacked, offended and butthurt should anyone even dare point out a flaw in their argument.

It’s become a world of short-sightedness and ignorance with self-entitlement fueling the flames.

When you set out to troll people online and actively seek to be offended it makes you look like a cunt. There are better ways to express yourself and present your argument, that is of course, if you actually want people to listen.

Food for thought.
