Why I’m Just About Ready to Get Rid of My Daily To-Do List

And just go with the flow, day in and day out.

No doubt you’ve read or heard others speak about the benefits of having a to-do list to help you complete the daily, weekly and monthly tasks that you’ve set for yourself and to ensure that you stay on track to achieving your goals.

And I have to agree, seeing your day organized out into a clear and concise set of tasks, knowing what you have done and what you’ve still to do, is probably the most efficient way to ensure that you make the most out of the sixteen or so hours that you are awake each day — plus, there is no denying the simple pleasure which comes as a result of striking another thing off of your list.

But as of late I’ve had just about enough of my daily to-do list and I’m on the verge of kicking that thing to the kerb (curb), at least for the time being and here’s why.

Trivial Bullsh*t

Like many, my weekly schedule stays pretty consistent, almost repetitive at times, day in and day out.

Wake up, get ready, take the kids to school, go to work, finish work, pick the kids up, go home, have dinner, chill/exercise/work for a few hours in the evening and then go to bed. Repeat, Monday to Friday.
