Why It’s Your DUTY to Write

You never know who is reading your work.

Sometimes writing and publishing online can feel like a waste of time.

It can be a rollercoaster ride of thoughts, feelings and emotions.

  • “I love writing; I could do this for the rest of my life!”
  • “Ugh, why aren’t my pieces getting the attention they deserve?”
  • “Let’s do this, I’ve got so many ideas, people are going to love my new writing style!”
  • “(Sigh) What’s the point, I’m never going to reach the level of a top writer.”
  • “I’ve been getting more reads and responses than ever lately, maybe I have this thing all figured out?”
  • “What happened? Where have all my readers gone!?”

And so on and so forth.

This is how my thought patterns have been over the months since I began writing here on Medium.

One month I’m super pumped and feeling optimistic.

The next it’s a struggle to write even a paragraph and my mind is plagued with doubt and negativity.

Perhaps you can relate?

You’ve got to keep on writing, even when you don’t want to and here’s why!
