You Don’t Need to Have Thousands of Followers on Medium to Be a Success

A few loyal readers and a community that supports each other is more than enough.

It’s widely believed that to become successful on any social media platform you need to have thousands of followers.

And though I’m sure it doesn’t hurt to have a large following of people to potentially interact with your content, I believe that it isn’t essential for your overall success.

Starting Over, A Clean Slate

I’ve been in curation prison for months.

I’m unsure of exactly how many months — as I got bored searching through my previously published pieces to see when my sentence began.

But if I were to take a guess, I’d estimate that it’s been roughly six months or more since any of my work has been reviewed for possible curation.

It seems as though I’m locked up for life and they’ve thrown away the key.

Now, the reason I tell you this is because, in a bid to remove myself from this incarceration and get my Medium life back on track, I’ve decided to start over again, a clean slate.
