Your Goals Are Not Set in Stone
Setting goals and attempting to achieve them brings with it a certain type of pressure.
In the beginning you may feel overwhelmed. You might think; “How the hell am I going to do this!?”
Next, the fear of failure may creep in; “What if I miss the mark and make a fool of myself. People are gonna laugh and say, ‘I told you so’. How humiliating.”
Then there’s self-doubt to contend with and the urge to retreat back to your comfort zone; “It was a silly idea anyway. It would never work. It’s probably best to just stick with what I know and stop dreaming all the damn time.”
And perhaps these feelings are justified. Some may even be true.
But before you go making any hasty decisions, talk yourself out of trying or give up on your dreams completely, just remember one thing;
Your goals are not set in stone, you are allowed to adjust them along the way.
Many people feel that as soon as they set a goal and make a start on it then there is no turning back, they have to stick to the plan, see it through to the end or risk feeling embarrassed in front of their friends and family for quitting. Which is simply not the case.
