You’re Never Too Old to Make a Change

What does it mean to be old?

Is it when you hit your 30s, 40s, 50s, maybe 60s? Or is it beyond that?

Is being old even a number?

Perhaps it’s a state of mind. A biological phase. Possibly a feeling?

Whatever it is, it seems that for many people, whenever they reach a certain age, they feel as though their life is somehow set in stone.

That they can’t take on any new challenges. Pursue new goals. And that they aren’t allowed to make any changes to their lifestyle at all.

It’s as though they are being forced to accept the decisions they’ve made in the past, continue on the path in which they have chosen and shouldn’t even dare to think of deviating from the ‘script’.

But why?

Why do people think like this?

Why do we feel after a certain age that our ship has sailed and we have no right to be thinking like we once did in our youth?

With dreams and aspirations of a better life.

Is it because that’s what society expects from us? To grow old quietly, not kick up a fuss and stay in our lane.

Or is it because we’ve been taught a false truth? Brainwashed by our grandparents, parents and elders to follow in…
